The cabin is surrounded by trails. Enjoy the trails and trips in all different areas. Enjoy Gogebic County and also Ontonagon County (just north of cabin). Cabin has circle driveway great for trailers and extra vehicles. Sleeps many and reasonable rates. Family and friend destination areas.

Take the ORV vehicle fishing to one of the many lakesTake the fourwheeler on the trails and go by some National Forest Lakes or other lakes. Fish from the shore on some of the lakes for panfish or other fish. Then, come back to the cabin for a meal and relaxing.

Some of the local gas stations such as Cenex in Watersmeet was selling the booklets. Variety of terrain and sites. Trails going by waterfalls, around by historic mining antique villages, old military roads, copper history areas, Porcupine Mountains areas, stagecoach robbery areas, and more
And, some of Michigan's Free ORV (and or fishing weekends) in 2017: JUNE: June 10 and 11, 2017 Michigan Free ORV Weekend and Michigan Free Fishing Weekend AUGUST: August 19 and 20, 2017 Michigan’s Free ORV Weekend Book cabin in advance for next year. See information for laws on state website for Michigan. The Michigan DNR invites residents and out-of-state visitors to ride authorized, designated routes and trails on these weekends. ATV ORV enthusiasts will not need to possess an ORV license or trail permit on these dates. |
Poker Runs, Trail Runs and MoreROGERS BAR: Every year Rogers Bar (which is down the road from the cabin) or Dutch's Bar (Marenisco, west of cabin) has a Poker Run or ATV Run. Look for times in the Spring and or the Fall. A listed Fall Ride for 2017 is September 30, 2017. Call 906-358-4435. HURLEY: And, then also there is a Poker Run West of the cabin in Hurley. That one is in May generally. Either ATV ORV to the Poker Run or trailer them. MI-TRALE will host it’s Annual Senior Citizen Fall Color OHV Tour. We have a morning ride and an afternoon ride. Once again this year, the morning ride will go from Adventure Mountain in Greenland to the Twin Lakes State Park. Those on the morning ride will then have lunch with the Afternoon Riders at the Twin Lakes State Park. The afternoon riders will then go from Twin Lakes State Park back to Adventure Mountain. The ride takes Senior Citizens past historic Copper Mines, over the scenic Firesteel and Flintsteel trestles, with stops along the way for picture-taking. More info contact www.mi-trale.org. Happy Trail Riders. Senior Fall Color OHV Tour. COFFERFEST HISTORIC ORV RIDE: June during Copperfest. This historic tour takes you to just a few of the historic sites located in the area. At the sites historians will tell us the history and give you a feel of the past. The ride will start at 10am ET in Ontonagon and head to Rockland for a guided tour of Old Victoria and Victoria reservoir, we will stop for lunch and then head to Adventure Mine for the guided tour. ATV CHALLENGE: Gogebic County Fair National All-Terrain Vehicle Ride-In Rally: June 26, 2017. Annual event. Rally central will be Bruce Crossing. Also, ATV Super Challenge. The rally will include the first in a series of ATV Super Challenges. Trail riders with trail and utility ATVs race side-by-side on a closed course that includes a series of mud puddles, hills and tight corners. And a treasure hunt. |
